Ant-Man

Hi everyone!♡

"The sequences with the ants were great and stunning"

Ant-Man: Armed with a super-suit with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, cat burglar Scott Lang must embrace his inner hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.

I was surprised that Ant-man is one of my favorite films from Marvel. The sequences with the ants were great and stunning. The details were beautiful and the humor and jokes fitted the movie. Paul Rudd was great as Ant-man and the two, yes two extra scenes after the credits roll made me excited for what is yet to come. Ant-man is one of my favorite Marvel heroes now.

Rue Morgue & New movie

Hi everyone! ♡

I went to the Sci-Fi bookstore and bought Rue Morgue Issue #156 and Edge of Tomorrow on bluray.

So glad that Human Centipede 3 made it on the cover. I will be writing more on a new screenplay later tonight.

Lost River

Hi everyone! ♡

"So beautiful and filled with so much angst"

Lost River:  A single mother is swept into a dark underworld, while her teenage son discovers a road that leads him to a secret underwater town.

So beautiful and filled with so much angst, maybe that is why it spoke to me so much. It teaches you that sometimes it is better to let things go rather than fighting for something by risking your own well being. It was a pleasant suprise that Barbara Steele was also starring in this, most famous for her roles in Italian Gothic horrorfilms like Black Sunday. A great directorial debut from Ryan Gosling, hoping to see more from him as a director.

Four flies on grey velvet

Hi everyone!♥

Four flies on grey velvet is everything you expect from a Dario Argento movie

Four flies on grey velvet: A musician is stalked by an unknown killer who's blackmailing him for an accidential killing of another stalker. But is everything what it appears to be?

Four flies on grey velvet is everything you expect from a Dario Argento movie. It is beautiful, bloody and keeps you guessing until the end to what is really going on. The story is intriguing and the solution to try and catch the killer is genious. The use of dolls was very clever, just like in Profondo Rosso. Suspiria is still my favorite Dario Argento film, bit Four flies on grey velvet is very good.

House on the edge of the park

Hi everyone!♡

"The opening song gave a creepy effect"

House on the edge of the park: Two low-life punks invite themselves to a party at a posh villa and after being taunted by their snobbish hosts, hold everyone hostage and subject them to various forms of torture and mayhem.

I also rewatched this movie at the festival in Alingsås and this one was better than I remembered. The opening song gave a creepy effect and I liked it whenever it was played throughout the movie. Hess was creepy as always and the use of razorblades was a nice touch.

Zombie Holocaust

Hi everyone!♡

"The special effects were better than I remembered, but everything else was really bad."

Zombie Holocaust: The members of an expedition in search for the last faithful of Kito, the cannibal god, land on a small island in the Moluccas (East Indies) and are soon hunted by cannibals and zombies, these being created by a sinister Doctor O'Brien who is experimenting with corpses. Suzan, a sexy lady in the expedition team, eventually takes a hold on things, as she is accepted as queen of the cannibals, and direct them against the mad scientist and his army of zombies.

I saw this movie for the first time many years ago and now I rewatched it again at the filmfestival in Alingsås and it was equally awful this time around. The special effects were better than I remembered, but everything else was really bad.

There is one scene in which a character jumps out of a window and his arm tears away from his body when he hits the ground, but in the next shot the arm is still there and it is like nothing happened. This movie could have been great with some changes to the script. The zombies were really ugly and some only had makeup on their face, but not on the arms.

Yor - Hunter from the future

Hi everyone! ♡

The costumes were great and the story had almost

everything

Yor- Hunter from the future: A warrior seeks his true origins in a seemingly prehistoric wasteland.

Yor has really cool environments and it almost felt like a couple of movies pressed together into one film, because it happened so much in Yor. The costumes were great and the story had almost everything. I laughed so much throughout the film, especially because of the girls' jealousy.

Watching Blackaria

Hi everyone!

Watching Blackaria tonight.

Rewatching Mimic

Hi everyone!

Tonight's movie is Mimic, watching it with my good friend Andres.

The Pyramid

Hi everyone!♡

"it does not stand out from the rest of the found footage films"

The PyramidAn archaeological team attempts to unlock the secrets of a lost pyramid only to find themselves hunted by an insidious creature.

This one starts of pretty boring and yes it is another found footage movie. Pyramids and Egypt does interest me and I was still curious to what the rest of the movie had to offer. The best thing about The Pyramidis the last twenty minutes, because we got to see the creature a lot more and it was pretty cool, but the rest of the movie was too boring and it does not stand out from the rest of the found footage films.

Cannibal Fog

Hi everyone!♡

"The second half of the film was better than the first"

Cannibal Fog: Michael is living a life filled with sex, porn and baked beans. One day he discovers the pleasure of eating human flesh and after that he gets hooked on finding that feeling again.

I was very intrigued by the plot and found myself laughing throughout the whole movie. The movie focuses a lot on food and about the 1-3-5 rules of Cannibalism, which is a nice detail. The second half of the film was better than the first. The music was fitted the movie very well and the berserk biting scenes towards the end were my favorites. Cannibal Fog gets a strong 3.
